Have I ever told you guys about why I work with Rhodes bread and why they hold a special place in my heart?

Over-risen loaves of bread. Exploding packages of bread dough overflowing out of the fridge. Hollow loaves of bread for breakfast. Those are fond childhood memories.

As the oldest child of ten with a mother that wasn’t terribly great at cooking or baking, meals were often a form of torture in my childhood. You laugh and think I’m being dramatic but, someday I will regale you with the tales of liver and onions as a 4-year-old. Or Brussel sprouts for 6 kids.

But I remember Rhodes bread fondly. My mom would buy the bread and, because there were so many of us, make up an entire 3-loaf package for breakfast. We ADORED warm bread and butter.

However, she wasn’t too keen on following directions, paying attention, or being prompt and we would often see the bread dough rising well over the pan, or oozing out of the package.

We have a favorite memory of her wanting to make MULTIPLE 3-loaf packages, setting them in the fridge to thaw, and leaving it for several days. On that last day, we opened the fridge to an explosion of bread dough. It was EVERYWHERE!

I adore Rhodes. I remember homemade, warm bread. I adore those fun memories of childhood in an otherwise fairly chaotic and stressful childhood. I adore how EASY it is to make their yummy bread! And, it brings me joy to make their products for my own family. Minus the over-flowing bread dough :).

What kind of milk do I need for a homemade mocha?

Whole milk makes the creamiest mocha, for sure. But any percentage will work. Coconut and almond milk are also fine. In fact, I have a dairy intolerance and usually use coconut milk in my latte’s and mochas.

Should I use chocolate syrup or cocoa?

You could use either, for sure! I prefer cocoa because I like using the cleanest ingredients, I can. Chocolate syrup works great, too!

Oh my…what are those delicious looking things?

Those, my friends, are the new Rhodes Anytime Cinnamon rolls. They go directly from the freezer to the oven and bake up in 30 minutes. Soooo good. And the perfect treat for your homemade Salted Caramel Mocha! They make me look like a superwoman to my family :). And gosh, if your world is anything like mine, those superwoman moments are priceless!
