Metal Colander

You’ll need a basic colander to strain pasta, wash veggies, and drain potatoes. I like using a stainless steel version that won’t have paint chipping, goes in the dishwasher, and the bottom sits up high (so the water runs away well).

I use my metal colander as a grease shield when frying bacon or other foods that splatter and as a pretty container for farmer’s market produce.

I recommend ExcelSteel 5-Quart Stainless Steel Colander.
